An Altruistic Experience Benefits More People Than An Egotistical Experience
On April 23, Kangen Water Enagic hosted a recognition ceremony celebrating the rank-up of 6A11-7 Romi Verdera at Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Romi is only the second Independent Distributor to reach -7 following Cynthia Briganti, who achieved an unprecedented 6A13-7 rank last year. 16 years ago, I had my first conversation with Romi at a Japanese restaurant in New York City. He had experience in other companies, and he’s become an inspiration for Enagic.
Kangen Water® is great, though people in the United States didn’t know that at first. When I launched Enagic USA 20 years ago, I led my first seminar in front of 15 people. Now about 600,000 households in the U.S. drink Kangen Water®. Approximately 85,000 households enjoy Kangen Water® in Southeastern states.
When Enagic USA started, people would ask, “If Kangen Water® is really special, why don’t you sell it at Walmart, Best Buy, and all the biggest retailers?” We stuck to our original vision for direct sales, and thanks to our Independent Distributors, we’ve achieved great success together.
Although Kangen Water® is a business, people can approach it in different ways. Some people come in egotistical. For Japanese people, we have a term called rita, which is an altruistic experience. Giving. It’s the egotistical experience versus the altruistic experience. Enagic was founded and built with compassion, the giving spirit.
Some of my classmates from Okinawa moved to the U.S. I often think of my dear friend, Mr. Toshio Maehara, who lives in California. He co-wrote my book, Quenching the Thirst for Global Success, the Success Story of Hironari Ohshiro. Throughout his life, he doesn’t live in a big house. I visited his place, but he benefited the lives of so many other people.
He had a 50-year career as a pastor. He built his community by giving and helping people. However, he didn’t achieve financial health, but found mental health.
The key is an altruistic spirit. It’s about helping people. It’s not about your ego.
Remember to invest in compassion and drink Kangen Water®.
